So what stood out to me in this chapter better answers Kia's question from Chapter 4:
2 You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country. 3 But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in Egypt, 4 he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites. 5 And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.”
6 Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them.
I think this is clear in showing what God's plan was. I feel like it's encouraging at the same time for all the times we are faced with "no" to really believe in God that it's for His glory, so way, His power will be manifested through our trials, if merely to show how much we really do love and trust Him, by continuing to remain faithful to Him in the midst of everything. Moses and Aaron had to stay strong - they knew what they were going to face, they knew Pharaoh would not immediately yield to God's command. Moses and Aaron had to stay faithful and encourage the people to do the same in the midst of things getting worse. When we know God has spoken something into being, has given us specific instructions, we have to trust in that and push through, despite the "no's" we hear because we know God has the final say and when His "yes" comes to pass, it will be worth the wait and all the "no's" - because we won't leave the terrible situation empty! PRAISE GOD!
