These are the verses that stood out for me
1 Cor. 3:
6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused it to grow.
7 So neither the one who plants counts for anything, nor the one who waters, but God who causes the growth.
8 The one who plants and the one who waters work as one, but each will receive his reward according to his work.
And
16 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?
17 If someone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, which is what you are.
18 Guard against self-deception, each of you. If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he can become wise.
v. 6-8 for me emphasize the fact that we all are apart of each other's growth and that no one person has all the answers or power or ability to influence true growth and change - only God does. So with that we have to go to God when we seek growth and change, we shouldn't depend on ourselves or solely on one other person. This reminds of the African saying that it takes a village to raise a child. All hands have to be in deck but we all have to be open and willing to be planted and watered and to go to God for the true change.
v. 16-18 shows me more of God's love, we are precious to Him and He wants to dwell within us - we are His holy temple but we have to remember to act like it. Being mindful of what we say, do, and think. Being mindful of being loving towards others and please God first. Remembering to spend time with Him and in His word and serving His people. We can't expect the Holy King to dwell in mess- we have to keep ourselves right and do our best. We may not allows have everything all straight and tidy but we have to give and do our best at all times and not settle
