Wow - 16 days in! Time sure does fly!
Ok, this verse spoke to me :
13 No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.
It's a reminder to me that we all have our "Job" moments when we remain faithful in God and when our hearts are genuine about strengthening our relationships with God. God does test us, it's not always the devil and it's not always because we "did something wrong" but it could be for the mere fact that 1) we've asked to be closer to Him 2)He wants to take us to a higher place in Him (even if we didn't ask) 3) He really wants to bless us with something bug but needs to make sure we can handle it/will give Him the glory or 4) He needs to show us how strong (in Him/because of Him) we really are
I know I have been quick to say "Lord why?!?!" It's hard to go through trials and disappointments. I had to remind myself that there is something to be gained/learned and that's what I need to seek out. I had to change my attitude from thinking "I don't deserve to have to go through this or be kept from that" and trust God and His will and His timing and figure out the lesson in the painful situation. What could/should I have done differently, what am I suppose to be learning so this doesn't happen again. Everything happens for a reason and sometimes we go through difficult times and trials so we can have a better testimony on the other side. So that we know without a shadow of a doubt that we serve an awesome God and He brought us through (not because we are worthy but because He loves us).
I think it can be hard to equate God's love for us when we go through difficult times, but as we grow in faith and mature we have to be able to see that it is love and that we're likely growing through to kit only receive a blessing on the other sudd but to also be a blessing to others. We have to be reassured that, as Don said one time, if God brings us to it, He'll bring us through it, and this scripture states just that.
God will never leave us hanging, He will test us and push us to our limits but He'll never give us more than we can bare - now that's love. He loves us enough to want us to be better, to slow us we can be better, to show us our strength in/because of Him and to use us as a blessing to others. What an honor !
