Hey guys! The verses that stood out to me in today's reading were...
18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
19 If they were all one part, where would the body be?
20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
I believe that often times in the church we get caught up in trying to pick what part of the body we want to be instead seeking God so that He will show us our gift as it pertains to the Body of Christ. We have to be careful about wanting to be what we consider "important" or wanting to stay in the "backdrop". We have to realize that each of us has a specific part in the body and it is crucial to the Body of Christ that we do our part. If not, we cannot count on the body to function in its full capacity as God intended it to. We also have to be careful in not running from what it is you KNOW God is calling you to do. In your running, you are being a hinderance to the Body and as a result one or more of your brothers and sisters will suffer. If God is calling you to do something that is out of your comfort zone then that is OK because He knows what you can do and he will equip you to do the work. He would not choose you to perform a particular function in the body of Christ if He did not deem you capable. So I want to challenge you all to really seek God about what part of the body you are and if you already know then I challenge you to begin walking in it! And remember that EVERY part of the body is important to God so don't get caught up in feeling like your part is not important because without you the body would be handicapped. We want the Body of Christ to be in the best shape possible so that we can really go ye therefore into the nations and bring others into the Body of Christ!
