Good morning!
From chapter 12, these verses stood out to me:
1 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt, 2 “This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.
11 This
is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your
sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord’s Passover.
God is finally bringing about the promise of deliverance for His people and in doing such, He instructing Moses and Aaron that everyone is to have a fresh start - how awesome is that! There is no need to continue in the mindset or routine that you have because God is about to do a new thing. We can't hold onto the ways of the past/things that came before, we have to start new, fresh. I think that is really encouraging and a great reminder. I feel like I often hinder embracing the fullness of joy that is meant for me to have from receiving a new blessing/answered prayer because I don't allow a fresh start or renewed mindset, I am still holding onto the past and go about things in the same way I was before because they was the plan. But, no, God wants us to start fresh as we leave bondage and trust Him for greater and guidance to our Promise Land (even through the wilderness, like Kia said!)
In verse 11 I see clear instructions that if we are to truly trust God for what He says He'll do and what He says He has for us, we need to be ready to MOVE! There were clear instructions given that the Irsaelites needed to be DRESSED for the movement our of slavery and towards the Promise Land. Are we ready to move or are we still waiting? Are we ready to NOT LEAVE EMPTY or are we going to miss the boat because we need to get dressed? Do we still have doubt because something hasn't happened yet so we aren't placing ourselves in a position to be ready when God is ready? Don't miss out because your not dressed for the blessing God wants to give you. Don't wait til you see a sign because your freedom could come in the middle of the night in the midst of darkness - don't get caught off guard because you're waiting til morning to get your life together. Get ready and get prepared NOW. Trust God enough to be dressed and ready to leave your poor situation and walk, into your destiny
y'all have a great day!
