This is late, I know, my bad lol
Ok, here we go:
8 You are to tell your son on that day, 'It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.'
14 In the future, when your son asks you 'What is this?' you are to tell him, 'With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out from Egypt, from the land of slavery. 15 When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to release us, the Lord killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of people to the firstborn of animals. That is why I am sacrificing to the Lord the first male offspring of every womb, but all my firstborn sons I redeem.'
These verses really standout to me as a reminder for teaching the younger generations, our kids, those new to Christ, WHY we do what we do. It isn't, should simply be, because of tradition. But we do things because we 1) follow the word of God and 2) as a reminder and tribute to Him for all the great things He's done. I think my faith and walk with Christ would be stronger now if I had known at an earlier age "why" past more because I was told to.
I also finds these verses encouraging as a reminder to myself to tell my kids what Gid has done for me/our family. It took my mom a really long time to ever to talk me about all the great things she feels/knows God has done her. I wish we could have had such conversations earlier, again so things didn't feel like they were happening because we had to but rather out of gratitude for God's goodness, grace, mercy, favor and delivering power!
Alright, that's all for now!
