Hey y'all, I pray you had a wonderful Juky 4th and that the celebrations will continue :-)
So, I had to re-read this chapter to try and find something that in some way spoke to me, no particular verse stood our but to did think it was ironic that God was so insistent in making sure the people didn't try to come up mount Siani to approach Him. I wonder if the people had in any way in interested/tempted to approach the column of fire or smoke that guided them in the desert so they could travel by night and day as the needed??? I know I wouldn't but I guess at the thought of sharing the experience Mosed got to have on a regular it would be tempting to approach a violently moving mountain covet with firey smoke and loud sounding horns. And that's what stood out - there are times when we'll risk stepping "out of place" or speaking out of turn just to share in an experience it seems someone else gets to have regularly and exclusively.
We have to remember to only do what God is calling us to do and in all other things take heed to His specific intrusions and fight the temptation to step outside of His will/boundaries because things have been constructed for our protection and certain people have been called for specific tasks and experiences.
Be blessed!
