Good morning! I pray you all are doing well.
From chapter 20:
5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I, the Lord , your God, am a jealous God, responding to the transgression of fathers by dealing with children to the third and fourth generations of those who reject me, 6 and showing covenant faithfulness to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
I am do appreciative of God's faithfulness and love and that His want an desire to bless us and those after us if we remain faithful is so much greater than His willingness to bring harm - though this also serves as a reminder that we can't think that our actions will not effect those to come after us. So be mindful of your actions, your thoughts, really everything. We can't afford to set up further generations for failure because we wanted to live in the moment. Our lives are not our own and our deeds are not exclusive to us. But thank God we can go to Him and repent and thank God Jesus died for our sins, but we shouldn't abuse that, not ever
