From this chapter, I was drawn to :
29 Now when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand - when he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
As we each grow and mature and spend more genuine, purposed time with God, we should be reminded that we will not leave the presence of God unchanged - and we shouldn't. Not only should there what a change on the inside, but that change should be manifested on the outside as well. There should be a outwordly change that can be seen in each of us after we spent time with God. People should be able to look at us and see a change. Our faces may not shine like Moses's did but we can and should certainly allow a smile to shine through - what representation of God's love and grace do we, can we show others if after spending time wig our Lord and Savior we walk around looking angry/mean and unwelcoming.
We must be mindful that we represent more than our current situation (whatever we are facing that may cause us to feel down or angry). It's not about wearing a facade and acting like everything is ok, when it may not be in that moment. But we have to trust God that things will get better in due time and we have to ask God for guidance as to what lesson we may need to learn during this difficult time. It's about allowing God to shine through us, things might be bad but to spread God's love and power through a simple smile, to spread God's word with a positive attitude allows us to shine brightly in a dark world of sin. Even though we aren't perfect, we are agents of The Lord and should be willing vehicles for Him to use to spread His love around - who wants to receive love from someone who looks mad or bothered? I know I don't !
Every true encounter with God changes us and adds radiance to us both inwardly and outwardly and we should not fight against that by letting the concerns of the world steal our shine. Yes, if we continue to read we see that Moses coveted his face when he wasn't either with God or directly sharing God's instructions with the people. But that is different from letting the mess of the world steal his shine - Moses covered his face because he couldn't "turn off" his shine. There is a time and place for everything and certain people may not be able to handle your shine, don't try to get rid of your shine, just be mindful and limit their exposure.
Love y'all
