Good morning loves, we're nearing the end of this fast and our reading of Exodus. I pray you all are staying encouraged and are feeling/seeing improvement in the areas your seeking growth/strength/clarity.
A special s/o to the discipleship class graduates from FBCG!!! You've put in a lot if time and dedication and the growth is obvious. May you continue to be tools for God's use and continue to feel His presence and guidance in your lives. CONGRATS!!!
Ok, so, I know I keep talking about this, but it rings true as a personal sense of encouragement and I will continue to trust God for growth and willing hearts for my home church and the other congregations who I know could really be set on FIRE if they but trust God and give into Him with willing hearts! So, these verses stood out to me:
4 So all the skilled people who were doing all the work on the sanctuary came from the work they were doing
5 and told Moses, "The people are bringing much more than is needed for the completion of the work which the Lord commanded us to do!"
6 Moses instructed them to take his message throughout the camp, saying, "Let no man or woman do any more work for the offering for the sanctuary." So the people were restrained from bringing any more.
7 Now the materials were more than enough for them to do all the work.
What an awesome place to find yourself in! God had brought you out of bondage and is promising you deliverance to a land flowing with milk and honey, He has established a covenant with you and has chosen you as HIS people. He has provided for you in the desert: protection, guidance, food, water, and victory in battle. AND even forgave you for your sins and doubting/ungrateful hearts along the journey.
Now He has instructed you to build a holy place of worship/sacrifice. Among you He has already placed skilled workers and teaches, all you have to do was, with a WILLING heart, bring the materials needed. Which in it self is a praise because God had already provided you with what you'd need (since you didn't leave Egypt empty) BUT God doesn't stop here! From all those giving with willing hearts MORE than enough was collected to complete the work. Did you catch that?!? MORE THAN ENOUGH! So He did just deliver you, provide and protect you, He made sure you had MORE than enough to complete a task He put before you! That's encouragement for me and I pray it is for you too! Look at God. He's not only going to bring us out, we won't leave empty handed, He'll protect and provide for us, He'll establish a covenant with us AND He'll make sure we have more than enough to complete whatever task He sets before us.
God didn't bring us this far to fail. With willing hearts we can accomplish what He has tasked is with because He has given us MORE than enough. Where were wasn't easy and the journey in the desert hasn't always been fun. But in the midst, God has blessed us and provided for us and we but need to trust Him with willing hearts to complete our assignments - because we have more than enough to do the work!
