Hello all,
Glad to be back and glad that you all are back! So, Quia got on me for not posting to the forum so I am posting right now before I complete some more homework lol.
Anyway, this post is not going to be about Job because I have been reading and listening from another part of the Bible lately and I have not started on Job yet. The good thing is that I have still been in the Word, Amen. I will catch up with Job over the weekend and I will share my thoughts and feelings with you all where I see fit
Today I read out of the book of Mark. Mark 10:45 says "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." I like this verse because it reminds me that I need to stay as humble as possible. We often get caught up in our selfish acts, getting an attitude if we don't get our way, manipulating people and situations (consciously and unconsciously) so that it will benefit us, or even cutting back on time with the Lord (guilty) to do what I feel like doing. But, IT'S NOT ABOUT US! We were born to serve, just like Jesus was. He was born to DIE on the cross so that we may be saved from sin. How insane yet amazing is that!? I recently listened to a podcast by Joyce Meyer, and in this podcast she taught on understanding the Love of God. She emphasized on the fact that once we deactivate our selfish ways and start to serve others we will have a full understanding of how God Loves us. So, with that being said, along with reading and writing about the Word each day let us try to do a good deed for someone else. Let us work on being humble, understanding what we are really born to do.
Have a good evening guys!
Much Love,
Ash
