Good morning! Praise The Lord for bringing us through another week!
From today's reading, this is what stood out to me:
Ch 19:
4 But even if it were true that I have erred, my error remains solely my concern!
For me I see this statement from Job as a reminder that everyone sin is between them and God. I have NO place in that and no place to judge because I have my own sin to be accountable for. No one is perfect and though as friends and family/brothers and sisters in Christ we should not support another in sin, we should not judge either. My walk is my walk and it could look very different from yours but that's between me and God. We all have things we need to work on to be more responsible and better reflection of Christ and to show God more love and appreciation for all He has and is doing for us. It's not my place to set judgement on someone else. It's also not my place to say someone else has actions "more sinful" than my own - all sin is bad and we all sin. Having a self righteous attitude doesn't make you more holy. You may not have gone against one of the Ten Commandments but are you showing love and kindness to the least of these (and in a way that brings no benefit to you - a pay check, "bragging rights", social status, etc). Are you doing what's right and required of you because it's pleasing to God or just to be seen/heard?
Just remember - we can each do better and be better! So let's get to it and not judge others but rather let us spread understanding, offer words of comfort, and pray for restoration.
