Good afternoon beautiful people!

Special shout out to @crystslc leading the prayer on the prayer call last night - thank you ma'am !

From today's reading the following verses stood out:

Ch. 26
7 He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth on nothing.

This really has nothing to do with what's going on in this part of the story as to why this stood out to me. It just really out me in awe of God. Like stop and think about all the things that go on that can't be explained away by science. Think of all the phenomenal, intricate things God created, both large and small, and how the all fit together. The planets have no strings holding them in place, the sky isn't held up by large poles. God create all this out of nothing, simply by speaking! How awesome is that ?!?! It just blows my mind and I can't help but be filled with encouragement when I remember that this same God loves me and love you and wants the best for us and is own our side!!! Praise God!!

Ch. 27
5 I will never declare that you three are in the right; until I die, I will not set aside my integrity!
6 I will maintain my righteousness and never let it go; my conscience will not reproach me for as long as I live.

Usually I would call this out as just being stubborn but this I see, coming from Job, as so powerful! To know your relationship with God well encoding to stand against three people who should be comforting you but are condemning you instead - that's a statement right there. I think too often we are negatively influenced by those around us and find ourselves changing our thought process or doubting our own relationship with God because of them. We have to stand strong in what we know about the Word and how God lives and breathes through us as we serve Him and work to be living examples of His Word. Know your walk!

Chapter 26:NKJV

14 Indeed these are the mere edges of His ways,
And how small a whisper we hear of Him!
But the thunder of His power who can understand?”

This verse spoke to me about my perspective. At times, life seems to be bleak quite frankly. Even when we know God is working things out for our good, our vision still remains cloudy. This verse reminded me of how God's magnitude is way beyond what I can imagine. After noticing the manifestation of God's power, seeing it plainly, it is still "the mere edges of His ways." When we hear God speaking, its only a whisper compared to what God really wants to tell you. The message i took was this: No matter what situation we may be facing, God has only begun to show you who He really is and what He can do on our behalf. As cliche as it may be, this is only beginning and the best is yet to come. As we accomplish things and exceed our goals and experience God's favor and live in the overflow, its only a fraction of what God has intended. His plan is to prosper you and bring hope. Stay encouraged! Seal it with a praise *cues the organ lol*

Ch. 27: MSG

I’ll not deny my integrity even if it costs me my life.
I’m holding fast to my integrity and not loosening my grip—
and, believe me, I’ll never regret it.

Like Court said, we are so easily influenced sometimes and choose negativity over anything. Not to condemn anyone, its a hard battle to fight. Again, this was a test of perspective for me. Where will I focus my attention? Is in on integrity and righteousness or on my insecurities and inadequacies? Sometimes we act like the blood isn't enough to cover all of our unrighteousness; as if victory wasn't already our portion. A shift in my perspective helps me to see things differently. Where I would normally lose my mind, I can not because I will not compromise righteousness for a bowl of beans. Somebody is watching and depending on our faith. we can't lose hope or integrity because of turmoil.

I hope you guys are staying warm as this weather tries to act up lol. So here is what stood out to me in the chapters today.

Just like you guys were saying. A lot of the things that Job is referencing in here are PERSPECTIVE things. We so often forget that God knows it ALL!! Because he knows it all he knows exactly how we will respond, how things will affect us, but ULTIMATELY how to fix it! It encourages me to deepen relationship with him because right now, the things that he deals with me about are just the tip of the iceberg. The verse says that even if He let us know or explicitly told us about his power we STILL would not be able to comprehend it. To me, that's powerful, because it means that 1)I know what he can do, what he has done for me in the situations that I face(d) 2) and for those situations that I face and I can't even understand or am so completely confused he STILL has the power to work on that too despite whether or not I will be able to comprehend the outcome. That point is important to me because I am so often contemplating in my mind how things will/should work out. My human mentality is NOTHING compared to what God has worked out. Sometimes, we are so caught up in trying to figure out how we can fix our situation for ourselves that we don't even see that God has already worked our situation out. INCOMPREHENSIBLE!

“I vow by the living God, who has taken away my rights,
by the Almighty who has embittered my soul—
3 As long as I live,
while I have breath from God,
4 my lips will speak no evil,
and my tongue will speak no lies.

These verses stood out to me in chapter 27 specifically because despite all that Job is going through, he kept the faith. I know that honestly, I am not as gifted as many in the area of faith. I easily doubt because I analyze things so much, but I truly admire Job's strength. I look at this and I think about how it makes sense for Job to doubt God and like you guys were saying earlier, how easily we can be negatively swayed by things around us and dissuaded from believing when things look bleak; Job didn't give in though. He knew that God was in control of all of the horrendous things happening to him and he STILL had the mental resolve to declare that his lips would speak NO evil and his tongue would speak no lies! That is powerful and it shows that the devil can have EVERYTHING (your possession, your physical health, your family, etc). but as long as God has your MIND you can make it!
