I hope that you all are having a good week thus far and that you are staying blessed. I ask that you all continue to pray for me and my strength. These weeks have been busy for me with school, work, and trying to find another job. Anyway, with that being said, these two chapters in Job has inspired me to stay strong throughout the rest of this week. Elihu is trying to exemplify God's mighty ways to our discouraged and deprived Job. We can see here that Elihu is revering God and that He clearly understands who God is. Often times we praise God because of what He does when we should be praising Him just because of who He is! Clearly, He is the almighty and controls the heaven and the earth!
Chapter 36:16, "He is wooing you from the jaws of distress to a spacious place free from restriction, to the comfort of your table laden with choice food," is one of the verses that stood firm with me because it eases my mind to know that God will take away the distress of Life and put us in a place of comfort if we just hang in there. He wants us to burden Him with our weaknesses and troubles so that we would not laden ourselves with evilness. So, be encouraged this week and know that God is here to bless the righteous. Keep on obeying and loving on him!
Be Blessed!

Hey hey! Yep ash, I'm like finally SOMEONE gets it! Lol, Elihu clearly understands (or so far haha you know how they sound like they talking a good game then they start talking reckless lol) But I gotta admit that I'm a little ashamed because I have definitely had (and still sometimes do) face Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar moments where my mentality is all wrong and I am looking to reason with God and try to figure out things based on my perception. I have also had the Job moments where I feel like God just won't let up and am angry with him for letting me go through so much and want to just cry WHAT DID I DO TO YOU??!! But Elihu really puts things in perspective and offers up great advice on why things are like they are. He also helps to illustrate that it is not about how we determine what justice is and whether or not we think God is being just. It is not about what we did, it just may be a lesson that we wouldn't have received any other way.
15 But by means of their suffering, he rescues those who suffer. For he gets their attention through adversity. 16 “God is leading you away from danger, Job, to a place free from distress. He is setting your table with the best food. 17 But you are obsessed with whether the godless will be judged. 21 Be on guard! Turn back from evil, for God sent this suffering to keep you from a life of evil.
This was a great reminder and I immediately got happy! I feel like it spoke directly to me. God allowed this to happen so that God could do something unexpected for him. Yes, he had to cut some things away from him, but wouldn't you rather experience cuts from God first that he can heal so that when life cuts you, you already know that God can heal that pain. This trial is for Job to focus on God bc we see that in his suffering God is actually KEEPING him from a life of evil. That sure gives me a different perception on facing difficult situations.
