And so here we are - Day 22! Time sure does fly. I have certainly been blessed along this journey. Even when I wasn't able to be 100% committed, what I did do was still a blessing and it was encouraging to see others post to discuss how that days scripture spoke to them. A huge THANK YOU to Kia for being obedient and Fid to for this time to really find out what love is and how valued it is by God. We can't truly love someone else if we don't accept God's love and understand his love for us and if we don't love ourselves. I really feel like I am in a better place and headed in a better direction - I happily await the awesomeness to come for all of us. I would say this is something worth coming back to or trying again while being more committed than the last time. There is always something to be learned and we read hinges differently based on where we are in life
The verses that stood out to me:
13 Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, show courage, be strong.
14 Everything you do should be done in love.
What a great way to some things up - in everything we do we must show and do it with love. And that we've taken the time to read Hid word - we know what that love looks like. God is delighted in us when we show and serve Him and His people with love (and not out of obligation or with the expectation of material things - but only the expectations of God getting all the glory). We are instruments of God's love and we have to always remember that - someone is always watching and we never know who'll we'll impact but we want to make sure it's in a positive way that will lead people to Christ and not away form Him.
We are an earthly reflection of God's divine love and we should strive daily to want to be a more perfect reflection. We have to hold each other accountable, we have to hold ourselves accountable. We can not continue to make excuses for poor decisions - because we know better.
The best way to love God is to love others. We have to be respectful and kind and watch our body language and words we say and how we think. We have to all do better. It's not always easy but it's always worth it
