So quick testimony:
Yesterday I had a really great conversation with one of the high schoolers that attends my church and comes down to help with Children's Church on Sundays. He was expressing frustration over why difficult times happen and that he often "isn't in the mood to go to God with problems/concerns because he feels I'd Gid really cared he wouldn't be in the difficult situation" I think we have all felt this way at some point so it was a familiar topic to talk to him about but what was the most important part for me was being able to give him SCRIPTURE about his feelings. To watch him open his mind and heart to realize that there is so mucho te the Bible offers and there is do much more to being a Christian than the same old Bible stories these kids here over and over again in Sunday school/children's church.
So, I encourage you all to keep reading daily and take the time to really process and take in what you're reading because you never know who'll need those Words from you in a way they can't get them from someone else or aren't quite sure/comfortable with getting them for themselves. I was blessed to share in those moments yesterday and was even able to encourage myself - God is so awesome and He wants to us each of us to strengthen His relationship with His children and lost sheep
Ok, so in Mark 13, this stood out to me:
11 When they arrest you and hand you over for trial, do not worry about what to speak. But say whatever is given you at that time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
This is a reminder to me that I need not worry when I am in the Lord's side. The Bible says He will supply our needs but this scripture also shows us that includes what to say in difficult situations when we are representing the kingdom.
Jesus didn't say "if they arrest you" - He said "when". We are given for warning that trials will come on this kingdom building journey. Jesus didn't say "God might give you the words to say" - he instructed His disciples that words will be provided so speak them. I think that's another good point to remember - God is going to drop in your spirit what to say, SO SAY IT! Don't question Him, once you've decerned it's The Lord and not your flesh/the enemy, just say what He has given you to say because He has done so for a reason, He has a master plan, follow it! We are called to honor God in all we do, sharing what the Holy Spirit has to say is part of it, even when it seems uncomfortable or poor timing because we know not what The Lord will do with what we've said but Weiss trust it's according to His will.
Love y'all!
