Hey loves! I pray allis well :-) ok, playing catch up...
Here is what stood out to me in Romans 10:
14 How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them?
15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How timely is the arrival of those who proclaim the good news."
17 Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ.
I touch me based in what Kiera talked about in one of her posts- reaching out to others in order to bring the could news/spread the gospel. I guess for me I feel like its such a great responsibility a d how could I bring anyone to Christ in this day and age - with all the bad in the world and all the hurt and frustrations and "why God" moments we as Christians have, why would someone change there ways ? I think these verse speak to that - verse 15 says it plainly "how timely is the arrival of those who proclaim the good news" We don't have to be the one to do the baptizing, we don't have to convince someone else, we just need to allow the Spirit to us use like Kiera did and "bring the good news". We need to be available to answer questions and give and invitation and speak from the heart - faith comes from what is heard (v. 17).
What I also get from these verses is the fact that we need to make sure we are in a place to hear the preaches word. It's not a one time short kinda deal - oh we were in church once or went to the Bible study that one time so we are good. No, we have to be continually renewed. I like to think of it in the sense of pouring ourselves out to others and therefore needing to be refilled, so we can go out and do it again. Now if you aren't pouring our to others, you won't have room to accept new-ness and be refreshed. So find someone to pour into it be a willing vessel when some finds you :-)
Love y'all !
