Hey loves, I pray you all gas a great holiday weekend!
Here is what stood out to me in Romans 11:
34 For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?
35 Or who has first given to God, that God needs to repay him?
36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.
These verses remind me that 1) I have no place to tell God what to do or how to do it or that He some how did something wrong 2) God owes me NOTHING 3) all things are/happen because of God
I think we all need these reminders every once in awhile, when we get caught up in frustrating or painful situations or when we are do sure we know how to fix something or how things should have played out differently.
But these scriptures are also a reminder to me of a quote I read on Facebook, a person states "Lord, I am sorry I let you down" and God's response is "you were never holding me up". It hit me really hard one day that I am not the make or break if the universe and his it unfolds, I am but one part, though uniquely and wonderfully made as we all are, but one part of a huge master piece created by God. God loves us and wants the best for us and wants us to live righteous lives and show love and compassion to others and be His witnesses, but even with all that, we aren't holind up God. He knows we are imperfect, and as such aren't even qualified to hold Him up, but even if we were sin-free God still would needed us to hold Him up. We have to remember that He was first introduced to us in Gensis a The Creater - He is the beginning and the ending and everything in between. God created us to serve and be witnesses, He didn't create us because He owed someone something or because He needed advice ! We owe Hod everything and need to act accordingly!
Ok, that's it for now- love y'all
