Here in this thread we can share different QUOTES (whether from the forum or otherwise) that really speak to us .. feel free to use them on your social media sites or otherwise to share the message of how you know the Messiah! As we study the Word more and seek revelation and understanding from Him, we will see how it connects the dots in our lives .. it's even more powerful when we share!

This is a serious reminder to me. I'm sure we all know how easy it is to judge someone else. Its more comfortable to look at others around us and try to "fix" them because it means we can expend all our energy running from the ugly truth about ourselves.

Jesus didn't take time to examine the situation, analysis, flip it over, consult with the disciples, cry about it, talk about how hopeless it is, be mad at it, etc. He simply SPOKE A WORD. This is powerful to me because it really goes back to the common verse about life and death lying in power of the tongue. It's up to us to choose WHAT type of word we are going to speak over our situations. We must remember that the things that we speak of we magnify in our lives. So if we speak about our negative situation it becomes worse. If we speak well of God, he magnifies himself in our lives. It's truly up to us. And remember that He is strengthened in our weakness. That's when His strength is made PERFECT! What else can we even ask for??!!

2.) Secondly, I think that Jesus wants us to see persistence in action. What if God doesn't respond right away? What if He allows your situation to continue after you've prayed and fasted for so long? Do you give up, or do you persistently seek after God for what you need?

"Let me quiet the voice of Satan screaming to resist this process. He wants to trip us up by whispering how we won't be able to live this out perfectly. Jesus has never ever asked us to be perfect. He simply wants us perfectly surrendered. I often pray, "Oh Jesus, I am such a mess, but I am Yours. Show me ... help me ... forgive me ... reassure me ... and pour Your tender mercy upon me.""

COURTNEY YAAAAAASSSS!!!
"I also think this is a reflection of our deep want to brin all our friends with us on our journey. Though admirable - it could really hinder us. If they are meant to journey with us, it won't be forced, they will be willing and come prepared. We all have growing to do and things we can learn from each other, but we can't spread the gospel to the masses if we're trying to drag along someone close to us that just won't get with the program - we'll mess around miss the banquet!!!"
Don't die bc you're tryna carry around dead weight!!!

On point !!! The verses that grabbed my attention were verses 12 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted
17 Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? In verse 12 Jesus is making it clear that God is not playing any games when it comes to having a humble spirit. We often hear/say "To God be the Glory" and that is exactly what God wants and deserves...ALL of the Glory. Remember not to get caught up in doing so good that you forget to praise and thank His holy name. Everything we do, whether we realize it or not, is done with help from Him. He is going to get the glory regardless but I would rather be walking humbly with God, already, instead of being humbled by God because I thought I can do bad all by myself. Verse 17 reminds me that we are not just going through the motions. We are all striving to be successful but don't let the materialistic rewards of success be your motive. Like they say, remember to stop and smell the roses. Live in the moment and appreciate the journey that your are experiencing. Yes, the money, cars, houses, etc. are wonderful to have or dream about having but what is really important?

Jesus said that I have not come to call the person who acts like they have it all together, those people don't express their need for me but the sinner needs me. I need Him! I am confident in His concern about my situation. So I dont have to worry about how I measure up to others. I won't be consumed by the comparison trap but be consumed by His love inspite of my inadequacies. Peace & Love Crys

"Learning to hear the voice of God is the most important skill you could ever develop. The more you pay attention to Him and the inner promptings and impressions of the Holy Spirit, the more you will know Him and see His goodness and protection in your life."
